Students may be dropped off at school as early as 8:15 a.m. on school days, please no earlier. Supervision is not available prior to 8:15 a.m. on the Sagert campus.
Please do not drop students off for the morning classes before 8:20 a.m. Please do not drop afternoon students off for the afternoon classes before 12:10 p.m.
School dismissal time is 3:00 p.m. for 1st-4th grades, 3:05 p.m. for 5th-6th grades. It is important that grades 1st-6th are picked up no later than 3:15 p.m. After that time, regular staff will not be available to supervise students. Safety and other concerns keep us from allowing HCES students to be left unsupervised. Therefore, any child not picked up by the designated times must wait in the holding area or school office. In order to help us maintain a safe environment, parents may be required to come into the building to sign their child(ren) out. In addition, students who are picked up late may be charged a late pick up fee.
School dismissal time is 11:10 a.m. for all morning classes. It is important that Pre3-am, Pre4-am, and K-am students are picked up no later than 11:15 a.m. School dismissal time is 3:00 p.m. for all afternoon classes. It is important that Pre3-pm, Pre4-pm. Pre K and All Day K students are picked up no later than 3:05 p.m.
We wish to accommodate family emergencies. If you are detained because of weather, illness, and accidents, etc., please call the office as soon as possible and let us know that you will be late. We will make arrangements to see that your child is not left unsupervised while he/she waits to be picked up.
Because of our concern for the safety of students, we have agreed to provide supervision for late pickups. Unfortunately, this is costly. Therefore, a per minute charge will be added to the family's tuition bill if it is noticed that a child is often not picked up until after the designated times. A late pick up warning card will be issued prior to the family being charged an extra fee.
Chapel for the elementary school Pre-School-4th grade will be held on Wednesdays in the Multi Purpose Building from
12:30pm to about 1:15pm
Chapel for the elementary school 5th and 6th grades will be held on Wednesdays in the Music Room, Building F from
1:25pm to about 2:10pm
Chapel is considered an important part of the educational ministry of HCES, therefore, students will be expected to attend unless given an excused absence by the teacher and/or administrator. Parents, family members, and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend chapel services. No prior notice is required. Chapel schedules may vary or change throughout the year.
Upper (South West) parking lot and lower (South West, by covered play area) will only be open for through traffic and parking from 8:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Please for the safety of our students: No parking anywhere on the west side of campus outside of these times.
Parking lot speed 5 MPH or slower. Please use the designated drop off/pick up areas rather than allowing your child(ren) to cross traffic.
